Graduated in 1970 from South San Antonio High School.
Received a Bachelor of Arts in Math from Southwest Texas State University in 1974.
Worked as a purchasing agent for 1 1/2 years before deciding to attend law school.

Received Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's University in 1978.
Licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1978.

Worked as an Intern, Misdemeanor Prosecutor and Felony Prosecutor for the Bexar County District Attorney's Office from 1977 through 1982.

Began the private practice of law in 1982, initially handling criminal cases, family law matters, business disputes, probate matters, social security disability claims, personal injury claims and worker's compensation claims.

In 1985, limited practice to family law matters, personal injury claims and worker's compensation claims.

In 1988, further limited practice to personal injury claims and worker's compensation claims.

In 1991, began handling only personal injury claims.

In 1994, began handling personal injury claims and mediation.

In 1998, began handling only mediation.


Mediation Training and Experience



Attended and completed 40 hour mediation training program sponsored by the American Arbitration Association.

 

Attended and completed 30 hour advanced family mediation training program sponsored by the Worklife Institute.

Qualified for appointment as a mediator under Section 154.052 of the Texas Civil Practices and Remedies Code.

Listed on the mediation roster utilized by the Bexar County District, County and Appellate Courts.

Mediated over 6,500 cases.
